W. Warren Grant

Retired Col. W. Warren Grant, Kansas Air National Guard, passed away Nov. 9, 2021, while under hospice care for complications from Parkinson’s disease.
Warren’s National Guard service included as deputy commander for Resources, 190th Air Refueling Wing in Topeka, and subsequently as chief of the Information Systems Division, Air Directorate, National Guard Bureau, and as ANG liaison to Headquarters U.S. Air Force Budget Directorate.
Following retirement from the ANG, Warren served in the budget office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Reserve Affairs. As the information systems chief for the ANG, Warren pioneered the broad network connection of all ANG units nationwide, preceding the eventual networking of active Air Force bases by several years.
The Celebration of Life ceremony for will take place Saturday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. (EST) at Expectation Church, 11924 Braddock Road, Fairfax, Virginia. The service can be joined in live streaming via the church’s You Tube channel https://www.youtube.com/expectationchurch
