James “Jim” “Bat” Masterson Jr.

Retired Sgt. 1st Class James “Jim” “Bat” Masterson Jr., 78, passed away Aug. 1, 2021, after a brief illness.
He was an Army veteran, retired Kansas Army National Guard Soldier with the 1st Battalion, 137th Infantry, and civil service mechanic with Organizational Maintenance Shop-3 in Wichita. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Masterson; his father, James Masterson, Sr; and mother, Lauretta Masterson (Sigg).
He is survived by his sister Connie Robinson (Stanley); sons Phillip Masterson (Theresa); Raymond Masterson; Jason Masterson; stepchildren Charles Belisle (Cassie); and Chris Lary-Cowel.
Jim did not wish to have a formal service. We thank all the family and friends who have given their prayers and condolences during this difficult time.
