Dwight "Dink" Pike

Dwight "Dink" Pike, 65, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Jan. 30, 2021.

Dwight was born Sept. 24, 1955, to Walter and Clora Mae Pike in Wichita, . After graduating West High School in 1973, he went on to join the Navy, serving aboard the USS Midway.

Dwight joined the Kansas Air National Guard in 1981, serving in both the 184th Wing and the 124th Wing throughout his 27-year career. He retired in 2003 from the 184th as the Survival Equipment supervisor.

In 1981, Dwight met Janet Woodrome, and they wed in 1982, going on to have three children, Justin, Kyle, and Kaci.

After retiring in 2003, Dwight spent his time working as a sleep study technician, rooting for the Kansas City Chiefs, and spending time with his three grandchildren.

Dwight is preceded in death by his parents and his two brothers, Richard and Dexter. He is survived by his wife, Janet; his brothers, Daniel, Donny, and David; his sister, Donna; his three children, Justin, Kyle, and Kaci; and his three grandchildren, Mackenzie, Gabriel and Greyson.
