Richard "Dick" Miller

Richard Dick Miller, 84, of Topeka, passed away Jan. 25, 2021.

He was born March 2, 1936, in Hebron, Nebraska, the son of Jack and Mary Etta (Corliss) Miller. He graduated from Marysville High School 1955. He joined the Kansas National Guard after graduating and served for nine years.

Dick managed Valley Fertilizer in Clay Center for 35 years. He worked in sales for many years and took pride in being the top salesman for Boettcher Enterprises.

He was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church of Topeka. In Clay Center, he served as a councilmen for 12 years, was member of Kiwanis, and St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Richard married Darlene Tietz on May 29, 1964, in Linn. She survives. Other survivors include daughter, Rebecca (Jeff) D. Coen; son, Michael (Julie) D. Miller; grandchildren, Hannah Coen, Rachel Coen, Scott (Lana) Imada, Mackenzie Miller, and Ethan Miller; and one brother, William (Connie) C. Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Honoring Dicks wishes, cremation is planned. A private graveside service will take place at a later date in Hebron. Memorial contributions may be made to Topeka Lutheran School, 701 SW Roosevelt Street, Topeka, KS, 66604 https://www.topekalutheran.org/.
