William "Bill" F. Parker

William Bill F. Parker, age 76, of Wakarusa, Kansas,passed away Saturday, Dec. 14, 2019, at his home in Wakarusa.

Bill was born Oct. 10, 1943, in Louisville, Mississippi, the son of William M. Parker, Jr. and Alice (Forbes) Parker. Bill grew up in Mississippi where he graduated with a bachelors degree from Mississippi State University in industrial management. He married Norma B. Bornman, they later divorced. He then married Juanita L. Beatty Lindeman April 9, 1987, in Enid, Oklahoma.

He worked for over 17 years in sales of pre engineered metal buildings. Bill served for 27 years for the Air National Guard, stationed in Mississippi, Indiana and Kansas. After transferring to the 190th Air Refueling Wing at Forbes Airfield in Topeka, he served as the assistant deputy commander of Aircraft Maintenance and deputy commander of Resource and Support.

Billwas a member of the American Legion Capital Post #1 and American Legion Post #400. He was also a member of the Kansas Coyotes at Forbes Field. He was a past member of the Terra Heights Baptist Church and recently at First Southern Baptist Church.

Bill is survived by his wife of 32 years, Juanita; two daughters, Allison (Chris) Knowles of Grain Valley, Missouri, and Susan Parker of Blue Springs, Missouri and two grandchildren, Edward William Bill Knowles and Emily Lorraine Knowles.

Memorial services will be Friday, Dec. 27, at 2 p.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church. Visitation will be Thursday, from 6-8 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be Friday at 10 a.m. at the Leavenworth National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Southern Baptist Church and left in care of the Davidson Funeral Home.
