Heroes on the Water - Kansas Chapter is hosting a kayaking and fishing event on Saturday, June 16, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Horton Lake, 1895 Wilson Dr., Horton, Kansas.
This event is free to veterans of all military branches, first responders and their family members. Heroes on the Water is a great way to spend the day with families and the only expense will be getting to the lake.
Everything needed to enjoy a day of kayaking and fishing will be provided, including kayaks, life jackets, fishing gear, bait, fishing license, food, drinks, and sunscreen. Lunch will be served and snacks and drinks will be provided during the day.
Registration information needs to be completed for each individual that will be participating in the event. If you are bringing five family members, each member should be registered individually.
