Lillis Sue Peck

  Lil Peck, age 63, died on Sunday March 25, 2018 at her residence in rural Manhattan, Kansas. Lil was the wife of retired Brig. Gen. Eric Peck and mother of Capt.Georgia Schafer, 635th Regional Support Group. She was born on February 11, 1955 in Manhattan the daughter of Sherman and Elvina (Nelson) Heldenbrand. She graduated from Manhattan High School and earned her Bachelors degree in Arts from Kansas State University. She performed animal husbandry for many years and delighted in showing horses and rabbits. Lil was united in marriage to Eric Peck on June 21, 1980 in Manhattan. This union was blessed with two children: Georgia and Ely. She enjoyed doing many types of artwork and being with her family, especially her grandchildren. Survivors include her husband Eric of the home; a daughter: Georgia Schafer of Salina and a son: Ely of Manhattan. She is also survived by two grandchildren, a brother: Lyle Heldenbrand of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and in-laws: Ernie and Barbara Peck.
