The public is cordially invited to the grand opening of the newest Kansas Army National Guard recruiting office at 11310 E 21st Street North, the intersection of East 21st Street North and Greenwich Road in Wichita. The event, hosted by the Kansas Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion, will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 25.
The event will feature a ribbon cutting ceremony, static displays of military vehicles, refreshments and outdoor activities.
“Storefront offices like this give our recruiters more direct contact with the public,” said Lt. Col. Bryan Gregory, commander of the Kansas Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion. “This allows them to provide potential recruits with valuable information about the many career paths in the Kansas Army National Guard and the benefits of becoming a Kansas Guardsmen. These benefits include 100% tuition and fees at in-state schools, low-cost health insurance and lifelong leadership experiences all while remaining a local Kansan.”
