Retired 1st Sgt. Tony Soliz, Wichita, Kansas, 82, passed away April 13, 2021.
Tony was a retired mechanic in the Kansas Army National Guard's 1st Battalion, 137th Infantry.
He was preceded in death by parents, Juan and Ylaria Soliz, and brother, Manuel Soliz. Survivors include his wife, Michelle; children, Tracy (Brian) Richardson, Dawn (Carl) Soliz, Jimmie (Paula) Soliz, Tino (Chelsey) Soliz; stepson, Ryan James; sister, Phyllis (Bob) Ornales; grandchildren, Nikki Soliz, Wesley and Matthew Killian, Jordan (Brenna), Mariah, Tyler, Trevor, Tino Jr., Isabella, Anthony, Lily Sue and Ava Rose Soliz, Logan and Carter James; great-grandchildren, Dominic and Donavan Calhoun, Malani Hunter, Kyler Burkhead and Sophia Soliz.
Viewing will be Friday, April 16, beginning at 8 a.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m., at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West, 10515 W Maple St, Wichita. Graveside service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 17, at Calvary Cemetery, 610 S Vassar St.
