Retired Sgt. Lisa Diane Jackson, 60, Deming, New Mexico, passed away Dec. 25, 2020, at Mesilla Valley Hospice in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Lisa was born March 8, 1960, in Denver, Colorado, to Robert and Roberta Clements. She took great pride in her country, enlisting into the United States Army in 1978 as a combat signaler. Duty stations include Korea, Germany, and Fort Carson, Colorado.

She later transferred to the Kansas Army National Guard, serving with multiple units and ending her 34-year career with the 995th Support Maintenance Company, in Smith Center, Kansas. Her son, Robert Jackson, followed her footsteps into the 995th Support Maintenance Company.Lisa loved fishing trips with her father, spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Her willingness to help others was second to none. She was truly a blessing to everyone she met and will be missed by all.

She is survived by her son, Robert (Sara) Jackson of Enterprise, Kansas; her father, Robert Clements of Deming; 1 brother, Doug (Ella) Clements of Tucson, Arizona; 5 grandchildren, Sophia, Liam, Oliver, Theodore and Alexander Jackson all of Enterprise, as well as a niece, Baily (Michael) Eiting of Windermere, Florida.

Lisa was preceded in death by her mother, Roberta Clements.

Funeral services will be held April 17 at the Fairview Cemetery, Smith Center, Kansas, at 11 a.m.' Following the service there will be a lunch and gathering at the local VFW, 620 A St, Smith Center, starting at 12 p.m.
