Joseph F. Mulford

Joseph F. Mulford, 78, passed away Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka. Joe was born May 22, 1940, to Lester and Mildred Aubert Mulford in St. Marys. He graduated from Emmett High School.On June 20, 1964, he was united in marriage to Minnie McAlexander at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Emmett. Joe retired from the Kansas National Guard. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber in Topeka. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and was a lifetime member of K of C Council No. 657 in St. Marys. He was preceded in death by his parents, younger brother, Marvin, and son-in-law Keith Brownell. Survivors include his wife, Minnie; twin daughters Patty (Don) Pearl, St. Marys and Terry Brownell, Bellefonte, Pennsylvania; sons Joseph (Mindy) Mulford, Topeka; Mark Mulford, Topeka; and Matthew (Judy) Mulford, Lawrence. He was Grandpa Joe to nine grandkids and 17 great-grandkids with one on the way. He will be missed by many. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Jan. 11, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in St. Marys. Interment was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, St. Marys. Memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple Street, St. Marys, Kansas 66536.
