Retired Sgt. 1st Class David L. Lorenzen, 77, of Sierra Vista passed away peacefully surrounded by family. August 20, 2018. David L., son of the late Frank L. and Clara (Radcliff) Lorenzen born on April 23, 1941, in Spencer, Iowa. David served his country with United States Army in the Infantry division, during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He served his country in the Regular Army for eight years. Then reenlisted in 1989 through 2002 in the Kansas National Guard. Upon retirement he had attained the rank of sergeant first class with the rank of E7. After his retirement from the Regular Army, David, a master mechanic, continued working, and in 1984 he opened Daves Auto and Truck Repair and Auto Parts, which he operated for 27 years. He resided in Kansas for 67 years; in Tombstone, Arizona, for 8 years; and in Sierra Vista for the past several months. David and his wife Jackie moved to Tombstone, Arizona, in 2011. Spent nine months in Tombstone, and three months in Wellsville every year. He was an avid gardener in Kansas and Arizona. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his two brothers, Larry and James Lorenzen and his sister Linda Lorenzen. He is survived by his wife Jackie W. (Stevens) Lorenzen; a son, David A. Lorenzen (Natsha); three daughters, Loretta Williams, Karla Dinwiddie (Bryan), and Celina Gerling (Craig); nine grandchildren, Amanda, Lindsay, Justin, Clara, Cortney, Cristin, Cara, Kyle, and Ryder; eight great-grandchildren, Kimi, Analiesse, Abbey, Bentlee, Hannah, Nate, Liam, and Christopher.
