Sgt. Raquel Elizabeth Rolfe, 36, of Spring Hill, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at the Olathe Medical Center. The daughter of Paul Hervey and Ginger Cline, she was born February 27, 1982, in Bloomfield, Iowa. Raquel grew up and graduated high school in Kirksville, Missouri. She treasured her high school years and stayed in touch with those friends for the rest of her life. She later attended Mount Hood Community College and Eastern Oregon University. Eight years and two beautiful children later, on June 21, 2008, Raquel married Nicholas Rolfe. They were able to celebrate their 10 year wedding anniversary together in June 2018. Nicholas spent the last couple of weeks providing constant dedicated care to Raquel, both physically and emotionally. There was no one Raquel wanted by her side more in her time of need than her husband and children. Rolfe was a member of Forward Support Company, 891st Engineer Battalion, Kansas Army National Guard. During her 18 year Army tenure, to which she was forever faithful, she held many positions including, contract administration, purchasing, hazmat, budget analysts, and most recently, as a petroleum supply specialist. She took great pride in her role as Sgt. Rolfe. Raquel also worked as a civilian. One of her fondest work experiences occurred in 2012, when Black & Vetch sent her, as part of their procurement team, to visit Afghanistan and Dubai. An assignment that some would fear, she viewed as an exciting adventure and opportunity. This is just one example of Raquels spirit of adventure and living life to the fullest, which she always did. With her outgoing and loyal personality, she made lifelong friends everywhere she went and in every job she had. Raquels latest job was as a loan analyst at Midloan Loan Services, where she made many friends who very quickly became dear to her. Raquel treasured the opportunity to help others, and took pride in being a fitness support coach with Beachbody. During her six years as a coach, she touched and inspired people around the world to improve their fitness through her Facebook and Instagram groups, videos, and encouragement. With all that Raquel accomplished and experienced in her life, her most treasured roles were that of a loving wife and devoted mother. She will be greatly missed by many who love her.
