SFC (R) Jackson Charles Robinson, Sr.

SFC (R) Jackson Charles Robinson, Sr., was born on August 18, 1943, in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of Jackson Charles Robinson, Sr. and Essie Marie Robinson. Jackson departed this life on October 6, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jackson Charles Robinson, Sr. and Essie Marie Robinson, and two grandchildren, Carl Payne and Edward C. Robinson. Sgt. Jackson C. Robinson, Jr. joined the Department of the Army in 1963, Svc, 1st BN, 127th, FA, 130th FA group and successfully completed Fifth Army Reserve Components Non-Commissioned Officer Academy in Garnett National Guard Armory in Garnett, Kansas on April 29, 1973. He retired after twenty-seven years of service. Jack was joined in marriage to Nellie Booker in May of 1974, in Kansas City, Missouri and was happily married for thirty-six years. Jackson Charles Robinson, Jr. leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Nellie Robinson of the home; two daughters, Ola Fortner and Suzette Robinson both of Ottawa, Kansas; one son, Jackson, C. Robinson, III of Kansas City, Missouri; one sister, Joyce Harvey; one brother, Sylvester Robinson; one aunt, Mill Smith of Iola, Kansas; one uncle, Harvey Rodgers of Iola, Kansas; nine grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends. Funeral Service for Jackson Charles Robinson, Jr. will be held Monday, October 16, 11:00 a.m. at the Lawrence A. Jones and Sons Funeral Chapel, 1800 E. Linwood Blvd. Visitation will be from9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.at the Chapel. Interment,1:30 p.m.Leavenworth National Cemetery.
