SFC (R) Edwin E. Tatro

SFC (R) Edwin E. Tatro, 94, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at Pratt Regional Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1923 in Enid, OK to Lewis E. and Mary E. (Mercer) Tatro. On September 12, 1947, he married Mary L. Pohl. She survives. Edwin was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pratt and the Knights of Columbus. He served in the Navy during WWII then the Army National Guard from 1950-1978. He was also a member of the VFW Post 1362 and American Legion Post 86, was Membership Chairman of the B-29 Museum and was retired from Pratt Well Service. He is survived by his wife Mary, a son, Robert (Louise) Tatro of Kingman, KS, three daughters, Marla (Tom) Lichti of Wichita, KS, Monica Royal of Russell, KS, Melva (Mike) Oller of Plainville, KS, 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, two brothers, Frank Tatro of Topeka, KS and Dick Tatro of Cunningham, KS and two sisters, Reatha Clark of Pratt and Louise Gould of Stafford. Edwin was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Clem and Bill Tatro. Visitation will beSaturdayfrom9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.andSundayfrom1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Road, Pratt. Vigil and Rosary Service will be at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 23, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Pratt with Father Michael Klag presiding. Burial with military honors will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt. Memorials may be made to the B-29 Museum or Sacred Heart Church in care of the Larrison Mortuary.
